Jacob's Ladder Value Quiltalong Block Tutorial

Here is the block tutorial for the Jacob's Ladder Value Quilt.  You can find earlier discussion on this quilt, as well as cutting instructions, by clicking on the Value Quiltalong Label on the right hand sidebar  -->

Here is what you'll need to make a quilt the size of mine.  

In the above diagram I've broken down this block into the three individual components that will make this quilt.  As you can see, we've got half square triangles, and then two different bunches of nine patches, their only difference being the value/colors used.

Let's start with the half square triangles:

Next we'll make the medium/dark nine patch units:

Now we're almost done, just gotta make the medium/light nine patches.

So once again, these are the blocks you should have:
