i've got a big stack of quilts right now all waiting for their respective spots. Some going to new homes, some waiting to be listed in my shop, and a few are trying to worm their way into staying with me!
This strip quilt (which I gave a quick tutorial on back here) is one of those favorites! It's been laying patiently on the stack in my basement guest room where 'in limbo' quilts reside, but now it's time to move on. I know a lot people keep the quilts they make, but I prefer to sell or give them away as soon as possible before they just end up staying here by default!
Not sure why I like this one so much, I guess the colors are just what I like. I'm learning the trick slowly of adding more neutrals than what you think you want, and less brights. In the end you'll have a sophisticated color scheme. That's not to say that every quilt should be that way of course! Some times you just need to go crazy with saturated colors!
Just a couple links for you this week:
I took this course by Pugly Pixel and I highly recommend it if you're at all interested in learning some basic CSS and HTML, just enough to customize your blog a bit. I've learned so many little things, it's been rather exciting!
This dining room?! Well, the whole house actually, I adore it!
Want some cute. affordable. handmade. items to give as Christmas gifts? And help Haitian women support their families at the same time? Go check out their website, and make sure to read their blog! It's so inspiring, and btw, they will take donations of quality cotton fabrics over a yard!
Was that random enough for today?!!
