A Tale of Three Quilts #2
Monday, August 11, 2014
Here's the second of these three quilts. You can read more about them and see the first quilt in my previous post. This one is my secret favorite, maybe because I broke the rules a bit and ended up using more of my 'loved' fabrics, as opposed to only 'liked' fabrics.
Or maybe because it's reminiscent of the colors I'm using as my nursery theme. Warm grays, minty aquas and golden yellows. Yummmm..... You know I'm not normally a gray person, but in this setting it really works for me!
The backing is flannel that I bought for something else and then when it arrived it was a different shade than I was imagining. I thought the background would be cream, but it has a greenish hue to it. I guess that's just the joy of shopping online, not everything I purchase turns out to be how I envisioned. Most of the time it's a happy ending though, since it can be used in a future project where it fits just right!
So that's two of the three quilts, just the girly one to show you yet!
