Patchwork Quilt

Ok, I miss blogging about quilts and so I'm hoping to get back to talking about them here as they are made, rather than months later!

Anyway, this one I made for my brother's new little baby.  The VW camper van fabric was my starting point.  I didn't know if they were having a boy or girl, so I was going gender neutral.

When I can't decide what quilt pattern to use, I always go patchwork squares because it always works...

The backing is Double Gauze, and it makes it so soft.  The squares were 4" I think.

  5. Yay, so nice to see your blogpost! Love this quilt! I have a small scrap of the VW van fabric, I've just used it in a Farmer's Wife block. It's adorable fabric and a perfect starting point for a baby quilt!

  8. Fantastic color choices, and yes, patchwork is my go to pattern as well. Also, a great scrap buster of your most favorite fabrics.

  9. This looks so cozy!!! I'm currently making a patchwork squares baby quilt. What kind of batting did you use? Did you prewash your fabrics?
