Another Scrappy Trip Quilt

"Will I ever grow tired of sewing up this pattern?" you ask.

It's not likely!  I love the finished design, how it's so forgiving of the fabrics you include.  With a little bit of value and color planning you can make a more planned pattern.

For this one, I laid out the strips for a block in this way:

Light, Dark, Medium, Medium, Dark, Medium, Dark.

After you've sewn the tube of strips, cut them into little tubes and are ready to begin ripping the first block, just always make sure you start with the light block in the top corner.

This will create the dividing lines that create a more defined square.  Of course you can reverse the values, or you can do something completely different, but that's how I did this one.

Finished size is around 60" square.

Edited to Add:  This quilt was on my list to finish for the Fourth Quarter Finishalong.  Here is my original post with my list of quilts to finish.
