Quilting Update
Monday, July 28, 2014
Not a lot of sewing has been done, since we were camping last week, but here's a bit of progress! I hope to do a lot more quilting this week...
Firstly a little quilt top that's now basted, just not quite sure yet how I'll quilt it.
And then a few more stars for my son's quilt. I think I need to add a few more solids in there, since it's looking pretty crazy.
I'll have more to show you in a few days!
Oh yes, and it's time to pick the winner of the Kona color charts today. Winners should be hearing from me soon!

Love this. Can you message me some of the fabrics you've used? This would appeal to a boy that I'm wracking my brain for. Thirteen is hard to sew for.
ReplyDeleteHi! Both of these quilts will be so beautiful! I love your first photo and it inspires me to make similar! x Teje

Two great quilts!
ReplyDeleteI'm liking the look of that first one. The low volume? prints in the background are lovely. I'm glad you got a rest. Camping is fun. I miss it

ReplyDeletelove the top quilt--can't wait to see it finished!

Love both of these! Are the squares in the first quilt 3 1/2 inch?
ReplyDeleteI love both of those! Now I want to figure out how to make the first one. Looking forward to seeing more!
ReplyDeleteAlways the most interesting fabric combinations in your quilts - such a talent. I feel silly always making grand statements in public comments but really, you are an inspiration, Jolene. I hope your pregnancy is going well. I have three kids - my youngest just turned one. In some ways it's been exhausting but of course it's easy to forget just how utterly exquisite your own babies are and how worth it all that lost sleep is!
ReplyDeleteI am loving your star quilt, so cute!
ReplyDeleteYour first photo is another example of classic simplicity in the pattern allowing the fabrics to sing. Simply wonderful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful patches! Love the subtle yet vivid colours they have.
